Baseball

Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players. The aim is to score runs by hitting a thrown ball with a bat and touching a series of four bases arranged at the corners of a 90-foot diamond. Players on the batting team take turns hitting against the pitcher of the fielding team, which tries to prevent runs by getting hitters out in any of several ways. A player on the batting team can stop at any of the bases, but then can continue to run after another team mate has hit the ball. The teams switch batting and fielding every innings, right after the fielding team has gotten 3 batters out from the opposition (how players get out is listed below.) In a professional game, their are nine innings in a game. At the end of the game, the team which made it the most around all 4 bases (runs) are declared the winners.
How the batter gets out –
He has missed three legitimate balls thrown at him.
He has missed 2 balls, and hits a foul shot (a shot which is not in the diamond.)
How the runner is out –
The fielders managed to throw the ball to that particular base before the runner could reach it.
The runner has been tagged with the ball in between running from base to base.
The runner has run, but the base is already covered by another runner.
-If the ball has been hit out of the field, it is an automatic home run.
-Every fielder receives a glove which helps them to catch the ball with.
The fielding positions in baseball include, short stop, pitcher, back stop, first base, second base, third base, centre field, left field, and right field.
